Toronto, the city

I like Toronto. I live here.
It's kind of small compared to other cities, I think. Not quite as developed. The subway coverage really sucks.
But I like Toronto. It's urban and vibrant and so diverse. I want to explore it all!

Feedback Day Adventures
Friday, June 25, 2010 || 8:55 PM

So. Today was feedback day. How boring, I can't believe I went… it was only to get my references.
I got two references: my English/History teacher, and my Science teacher. J These are my first real references. Apart from my reference letters. Happy, happy ~

We went to Pmall today J from like… 2 - 5:30?
I did a lot:

1. I bought a pretty shirt. Well at least I think it's pretty J And now I owe Candy $5 teehee.
Thank youu Candy ~

2. I saw some white people speaking Japanese... dressed really scary. I was afraid they'd beat me up for staring. Sorry.

3. I saw some lesbians. Not that I have anything against lesbians (What a touchy subject. Just say "lesbians" and people say you're racist).

4. I initiated an argument with myself about stealing my boyfriend who wasn't actually stolen but came to me of his own accord. I don't have a boyfriend.

5. I drank a lychee red-in-Chinese/black-in-English tea that tasted faintly of Candy's seaweed. Yum~

6. And I rode the bus.

Total Hours Spent Waiting For Bus:

McCowan/Carlton: 30 mins
McCowan/Highway 7: 10 mins
Enterprise: 5 mins
Pmall: 20 mins
16th/Kennedy: 15 mins
--------------------------------------------
1 hour and 20 minutes

LOL, I could've sworn Whitney and I calculated 2 hours and 25 minutes. Sorry, my math sucks.

But overall, it was fun J

I hope that even though I won't be able to go to celebrate Elena's birthday with her, I can still buy her an awesome (aka blue) birthday present ~

No More School :)
Thursday, June 24, 2010 || 6:22 PM

No more school!! I'm so happy J but I think that this new "freedom" needs some time to really settle in. Whenever I get home, I feel like I should be doing homework. Then I realize that I don't have ANY homework because SCHOOL IS OVER.

It's really weird though. This time last year, I'd be having nightmares about not finishing homework (what a nerd "nightmare"). In one dream, I had about 30 pages of math, and I had to create a storybook, also for math (lol what?), all in one night. I wrote something Peter Pan themed, I think LOL.
But anyway, I woke up. Then when I started getting more conscious, I was like OMG, I still have so much homework to do… Then I realized that school was over and I had no homework.

During my exams, I was constantly studying. When I wasn't, I felt as if I should have been. But really… you can only really study so much before everything just slides out of focus and you start to read the same line over and over again. That was a ginormous sentence right there. Sorry… even I can't really read it.

It kind of scares me, how much school takes over our lives. Or my life, I don't know about you. I feel like I'm always worrying about this assignment or that essay, or this test or that project. During the school year, I never really relax. And then… after school ends, I feel so weird. I seriously hate school L I'm constantly stressed, and I don't realize that until the year ends.

I even got shingles in like… March or something. I'm FIFTEEN.
Stress is too muchL

Worst Book Ever
Monday, June 21, 2010 || 6:35 PM

I was searching "worst book ever" in Google. All I got was Twilight, Harry Potter, The Da Vinci Code… and I was like oh, God.
Because really, these are obviously not the worst books ever written. I mean, I understand if you hate these books. But this was totally not what I was looking for. If I had wanted to find "Top Most Hated Books" then yeah, I would be happy with these titles.
I was looking for "fail" books. Books that were honestly badly written with no plot, dumb characters (Bella is pretty dumb, I admit), just bad in general. "Fail" books.
COME ON PEOPLE L

But anyway, in my own personal opinion, the worst book I've ever read has to be Wicked Lovely, by Melissa Marr. Oh wow, I feel like a hypocrite because this book was a bestseller. I can see why though. The plot is an amazing idea. It was just executed horribly.

The characters are so boring. I hated Aislinn/Asshole, or whatever her name was. She was dumb. DUMB. The way she talked was so annoying!
Also, I have a huge problem with the "Ice Queen" or whatever she was called. The evil was not developed.
And the whole "secret" revealed about Asshole's mother was so confusing. It was like, "so what?" The idea was not developed.
Actually, NOTHING was developed. It was as if the author got lazy and just wanted to finish the story.
That's exactly why I hate the book so much.

FYI Melissa Marr is an English teacher.
HA!

How to Install Love
Sunday, June 20, 2010 || 10:44 AM

This was stolen from my friend Corinne J

It's so sweet ~

Tech Support: Hello … how can I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install
Love. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you
located your Heart?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now.
Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running ?

Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge
and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt
from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent
memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will
eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High
Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and
Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed.
Can you turn those off ?

Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke
Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and
Resentment have been completely erased.

Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that
normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base
program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get
the upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error
- Program not run on external components." What should I do?

Tech Support: Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set
up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In
non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before
you can Love others.

Customer: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the
following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your
Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The
system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty
programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all
directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely
gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files.
Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying
themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but
eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed
and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure
to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in
turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Customer: Thank you, God.

Exam/Party Time
Friday, June 18, 2010 || 5:32 PM

Next week is exams! I have 3 this semester: English, History, Science.
Guess what? I forgot my history textbook at school.

Yearbook, yearbook… I still haven't had everyone sign my yearbook yet.

Exams are so boring. I can't wait 'till I really have no school left.
And then I will get a haircut. J

I am still so full from today's parties… I even got out of civics to head to Pram again and get more food XD.
Periods 2+3 were parties, so I didn't have lunch, which worked out not so well, seeing as I'm still full.
No dinner tonight?

Hmm, I've really got nothing else to say.
Ok then… Bye bye!

Yearbooks
Wednesday, June 16, 2010 || 9:57 PM

Well, yearbooks came today J

So happy, happy pie ~

Does anyone even watch American Idol anymore? 'Cause the winner was in our yearbook… How stupid.
I need more people to sign! Not even half way, but my pages are all full L How can we only be given 2 pages? Didn't we have like… 4 last year? That still wasn't enough…
PEOPLE ARE SIGNING TOO BIG! :O

Hmm… :/
What if I want someone I don't know very well to sign it? >.<

I was looking at our grade photos… why is it that everyone looked so much weirder (by weird I mean ugly) in the beginning of the year?
Does everyone cut their hair before school starts or something?

I cut my hair RIGHT after school ends, (I don't know where to cut it this year…) so that if my hair is ugly, I will have a whole summer to grow it back again before we get our pictures taken.

My hair is often ugly. Just like YOU! Haha, I'm just kidding.
You're beautiful >.<

Dummy
Tuesday, June 15, 2010 || 6:12 PM

Why do blog posts have to have titles? L
Oh, I know what you're thinking (I'm psychic, you see), "You don't have to have a tittle, dummy!"
Well, all I've got to say is, "YOU'RE the dummy! I know that, dummy! But my blog layout will look dumb without a title, dummy! And besides, if you don't have a title, your blog post will be called whatever your first few sentences are, dummy! And that is DUMB, dummy!"

Oh. Um, no offense if you don't have blog titles. Dummy.

Dummy reminds me of hunni ~
My hunniiiii >.<
I was looking at pictures of my hunni in English today. So happy ~

Hunni, hunni, my chocolate bunni >3<

I've learned that if you make your blog posts too long, no one will read them. So I'll end here, I guess. L

~ ElizChi

BTW… the original title of this post was "It's a Tuesday."
Teehee.

Ah...
Monday, June 14, 2010 || 5:57 PM

I'm bored.

I'm hungry. Actually, not really.

I think that those green lines that appear in Microsoft word are dumb.
I said, "Dumb."

I type my posts in Microsoft Word. Cause I thought it was cool. Like me.

I said, "I'm bored."

Yeah.

I'm not weird. L
