Toronto, the city

I like Toronto. I live here.
It's kind of small compared to other cities, I think. Not quite as developed. The subway coverage really sucks.
But I like Toronto. It's urban and vibrant and so diverse. I want to explore it all!

people judge by outward appearances but the Lord looks at the heart

I think we should all embrace our ugliness!

Instead of telling yourself, "I'm beautiful!" just accept the fact that you're not. If you think you're ugly, you probably are. Learn to live with it because it's probably not going to change if you were born that way. Once you're comfortable with yourself and the way you look, there will be no need to comfort a wounded ego.

And there will be no need to untag photos of yourself on Facebook (imagine that!). You can proudly say, "Yes, that's me! That is exactly how I look, and I know because the pictures don't lie no matter how much I do to myself when I purposely mould my facial expressions into something more pleasant when I pose in front of the mirror."

The truest pictures are taken when you are unaware, catching you in a real moment of your life, wearing a real expression that you typically might wear. This is the way everybody sees you.
WHOA, right? UGLY! right?
YUP, THAT SEEMS RIGHT.
Because you're used to seeing only the "you" that is altered in front of the mirror.

You're ugly.
It's not the picture.
You were born ugly, but if it doesn't bother anyone else, it shouldn't bother you. And if it doesn't bother you, it will not bother anybody else.

Who will even notice your ugliness when they're faced with your good deeds?
Who will even care how bad you look when they're busy admiring your beautiful heart?

A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
- Roald Dahl

Let your face shine like sunbeams, and let all the world know how happily imperfect you are.
